Made of authentic olive wood from both Bethlehem and Jerusalem. The olive tree is a slow growing tree that can live for hundreds of years. Typically around the age of 200 the trunk breaks down developing new shoots at the base which eventually grows into a new tree hence the olive tree is known as the "immortal tree."
The olive tree is protected within the Holy Land and locals refuse to ever cut the tree down but make use of the parts of the tree that have died. In the middle of October, which is harvest season, the people pick the olive trees and squeeze them in to oils and jar others for later consumption.
