I am so happy I found Destination Om.  I was looking to get a new mala for my practice as the one I had was always stiff to use, but I hemmed and hawed.  Then my mala broke.  Lapis lazuli beads everywhere.  I contacted Destination Om to order a new mala and to see if they could restring my broken mala.  Catherine was not sure if their cords would fit through the holes in the beads.  I ordered one of their handsome rosewood malas, which I love, and sent the broken one for restringing.  Luckily their cords worked.  The repaired mala is no longer stiff to use.  Their nylon cord really made a difference.  I now have two wonderful malas for my practice.  And last but not least, Catherine was a delight to work with.  Thank you so much!

In receipt of the precious mala. Worth it to spend the extra and get it here quickly. I opened the package and wept for joy as I held the seeds for the first time. It was as if meeting a primordial friend, one who had been with me intangibly for ages, and just now in this incarnation, is with me in a more tangible way.

I have a sanskrit prayer used as a pilgrim puts on the seeds and takes them off.  I had thought there would be knots between each seed, but I trust you, and feel as though providence lead me to the one most qualified to be the agent for getting this into my hands.

I have a lingam stone sent from close to mount Kailash that means a lot to me, and a small cymbal, and a book of mudras. With these, the mala completes my artifact collection for prayer, worship, chanting, meditation. May they be protected for a long season of seeking and realization.

I always find the best rosary (mala) for Buddhist, but in Tibetan Buddhism we need different rosary when we practice the different methods. So I find  “ DESTINATION OM ”, the mala they made can use for all methods.  In Taiwan we call it dragon eye bodhi or triangle bodhi. I am also a buddhist, in fact.

I am currently taking care of a stupa conserving relics of 7th Changchia Hutuktu, a great Guru of  Gelugpa in Tibetan Buddhism. In 1957, he reached nirvana and was cremated in Beitou District, Taipei, Taiwan.  He is also the Buddhist Master of all emperors in Qing Dynasty. Moreover, he is not only one of the Four Dharma Kings in Gelugpa, but also the most prestigious Dharma Kings in Gelugpa and the most prestigious Dharma King in Inner Mongolia (please read my blog for more information).

Hello there! I have been meditating for a few years now and I used to visit your site quite often. It has been a while since I've been there but I just finished looking over it again. Looks nice! I was wondering... where are the videos that instruct in the use of mantra chanting? Those were quite a resource for me when I was just beginning practice. In fact, following your instructions for Om Mani Padme Hung brought me into DEEP contact with Avalokitasvara and, honestly, changed my life. I'm sure you know what I am talking about when I say "DEEP contact". I don't chant as much as I used to (because I go right into meditation and chanting kind of gets in the way, though I still chant sometimes), but I don't think I would be as far along the path as I am now if I had not had the help of your videos. I am further along the path now. I've had the help of a Guru to guide me in my practice, though I am still not an "official" devotee. Thanks for your help. I guess you have your own reasons for no longer posting the vids, which I can only guess at. Am I wrong? Are your vids still on the site and I couldn't find them? I had been looking for a lotus seed mala for a while but I hadn´t found one with the proper design. I was looking for a tool with mystical origin, made by people who really know what they are doing and have a certain consciousness. The Energy they put into their work is because it is something that I will be using for my practice on a daily basis, I didn't just want threaded beads like a souvenir necklace.

After reading Gaurang´s story of where he learned to make the malas, and how he collects his supplies all over the world following the local traditions, and how he is into spiritual practices, it made me realize that I had found a place and an artist that could bring a real mala to life.

I got in touch with them and had almost immediate response, even though Gaurang was on his pilgrimage, Catherine was of great service. The purchase was made and on the tenth day the package with the three malas I ordered was received on my front door.

When I opened the package I was stunned, the product completely surpassed my expectations, they were far better than in the pictures (obviously). These malas really have a meaning and each one has unique characteristics according to the materials used in their crafting.

I can tell you that I am a very satisfied costumer regarding quality, variety, price, time of delivery and service (so is my wife since one was for her). I highly recommend Destination Om to anyone, anywhere, who is thinking of getting one of these unique pieces and in the future I would love to get some more myself. Thanks for everything.

Just recently i was on salt spring for a workshop and i took my daughters precious gift to me of a  bohti tree bracelet from you,to a kind man at the market. i had not known that these beads were seeds and so i had been wearing it constantly and getting the bracelet wet. i was informed and even so the bracelet was taken for repair. i purchased a rose wood bracelet as well.
